Maharaja Agrasen Medical Education & Scientific Research Society was established at Agroha (Haryana) on 18th April 1988 to provide health care services, medical education.
It was a joint dream of visionary and great social leaders of Agarwal Community Late Sh. Ghanshyam Das Goel (Founding Chairman), Sh. O.P. Jindal, Sh. Banarsi Dass Gupta and other Agarwal Bandhus.

The Society commemorates the great patriarch of the Vaish Community, Maharaja Agrasen, in whose name this college was built and is located at Agroha; the Capital of his Great Kingdom.
Maharaja Agrasen was a Vaish King of the Solar Dynasty who adopted Vanika Dharma for the benefit of his people. Literally, Agrawal means the “Children of Agrasen” or the “People of Agroha”, a city in ancient Kuru Panchala, near Hisar in Haryana region said to be founded by Maharaja Agrasen.
According to Bharatendu Harishchandra’s account, Maharaja Agrasen was a Suryavanshi Kshatriya king, born during the last stages of Dwapar Yuga in the Mahabharat epic era, he was contemporaneous to Lord Krishna. He was Son of King Vallabha Dev who was Descendant of Kush(Lord Rama’s Son). He was also descendant of Suryavanshi King Mandhata. King Mandhata had two sons, Gunadhi and Mohan. Maharaja Agrasen was the eldest son of the King Vallabh, descendant of Mohan, of Pratapnagar. Maharaja Agrasen fathered 18 children, from whom the Agrawal Gotras came into being.

The State-of-Art building has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.21 Crore. The building has been completed in a record time of 21 months. Vidya Devi Jindal Paramedical College would provide education and training for Paramedical courses, About 1000 youth will get skilled education per session and this institute will also help in skilling the rural youth of surrounding areas.

Maharaja Agrasen Medical Education & Scientific Research Society was established at Agroha (Haryana) on 18th April 1988 to provide health care services, medical education and research facilities to more that 2 crore population living in Haryana and adjoining states of Rajasthan, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and to fulfill the socialist ideals of Maharaja Agrasen Ji.
At present 396 students are undertaking the M.B.B.S course. The admission is based on the merit list of a Competitive Entrance Examination conducted by the University.
